We’re looking for a Talend Academy DevOps Engineer based in Bangalore as part of our Global Talend Academy team. Our job is to build, support, and integrate our LMS (learning management system). The role involves handling development and administrative activities for our Talend Academy portal which is used by internal business functions, partners and customers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Maintains and develops the Talend Academy platform
  • Collaborates with support to resolve issues raised by customers or by instructors
  • Collaborates extensively with global internal stakeholders to manage and support the Talend academy platform.
  • Follows best practices established by senior team members
  • Answers questions on Talend Academy platform usage: user and content management
  • Involve in administrative activities related to maintaining the Talend academy platform
  • When required, involve with the global team to access, benchmark and identify future LMS platforms to be used

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO QUALIFY FOR THIS ROLE:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT field or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with at least 2 years of experience working with global stakeholders
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS, Shell Scripting, JavaScript, PhP.
  • Experience managing systems on one of the major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure, or similar), ideally GCP
  • Coding or scripting in at least one applicable language (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.); Strong OOP and willingness to learn acceptable.
  • Basic SQL scripting
  • Basic understanding and experience with relational databases (any)
  • Experience implementing API integrations
  • Exposure to Devops Technologies, working experience in Dockers, Terraform could be a plus
  • Preferable to have experience in developing and maintaining a Learning Management System, but not mandatory
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently as needed
  • Experience interacting with global internal or external stakeholders highly preferred; Though the role involves working in IST hours, candidate should be flexible in taking adhoc global calls and meetings when required.
