Azure Cloud Engineer II – Global Technical Support – Remote Rackspace is seeking a Azure Cloud Engineer II that has a passion for technology and is ready to join our Global Technical Support. Position SummaryWe are looking for a passionate Cloud Engineer who has experience supporting internal and external customers on multiple platforms. Work with customers and other teams to troubleshoot customer environments to increase user satisfaction. First point of contact for handling customer issues, providing guidance and recommendations to increase efficiency and reduce customer incidents. Develop tooling and processes to drive and improve customer experience, create playbooks, and provide mentoring on customer related issues to front line Cloud Engineers. 
Responsibilities·      Provide Fanatical customer support from onboarding through growth at Rackspace. In addition to providing customer support, will be responsible for helping build tools and processes necessary for excellent customer outcomes. ·      Educate customers and Rackers on best practices in terms of redundant architecture and application deployment workflows. ·      Mentors new and existing Rackers. ·      Obtains additional relevant knowledge.·       Participates in process/tooling improvement. ·      Work and collaborate with a team of Rackers. Handles OS level changes with high complexity, troubleshoots persistent issues within an environment. ·      May assist with new environment builds and is involved in issue that may take days or weeks to complete. ·      Handles escalations from level I Cloud Engineers and are expected to mentor with the escalation. 
Knowledge·      Experience automating and orchestrating workloads across multiple public cloud providers. ·      Automation experience with at least one configuration management system such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt, or other such tools. ·      Experience working at least one of the following languages: Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby, and Java. ·      Proficient with git and git workflows. ·      Proficient in leveraging CI and CD tools to automate testing and deployment. ·      Experience working in an Agile, fast paced, DevOps environment. ·      Knowledge (preferably experience) in building distributed, highly available applications.·      Strong Linux or windows skills. ·      Experience in the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of common web servers, database, caching, and database services. ·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate technical issues to nontechnical and technical audiences.
Requirements·      Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent years of experience.·      2+ years of related experience gained through a combination of academic studies and work experience.·      Experience working with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow or Remedy.·      Experience troubleshooting software/hardware and break/fix.·      Ability to collaborate with and lead interdisciplinary team members to solve problems.·      Self-starter with a positive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for technology and solving real-world problems.Sufficient verbal and written communication skills in English, especially in technical areas.·       Relevant Certifications (not required): o  Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) o Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-103/AZ-104) o   AZ 300 Cert
