Requirements

The Opportunity:

As part of our ongoing investment into our product and cloud strategy, we are looking for a highly experienced cloud architect, with experience of transforming on premise applications and architectures to the most modern cross cloud patterns. You will join the engineering division as part of the Technology Strategy and Architecture team and will help bridge between software and platform architecture, working closely with the Engineering, product management and cloud operations teams. You will investigate and solve complex problems, help drive strategic engineering decisions, document the resulting architectural decisions and help realise them.


Our Ideal Candidate:

To be successful, you will have experience in designing and transforming cloud architectures as part of a successful Software as a Service vendor – ideally with Multi-tenant SaaS platforms. You will be familiar with the latest cloud architecture concepts and technology trends and will have deep experience in Microsoft Azure.

As an experienced and highly technical architect, you will have a track record (and will ideally be able to reference) your solution architecture skills and will be familiar with driving Architectural method in a Agile Development organisation.

Most importantly, you will have the vision to see how an existing product can evolve with the increased capabilities of cloud computing.

Required Experience / Qualifications

  • Subject matter expert in transforming software products to a SaaS solution
  • Experience of IaaS, PaaS and platform capabilities
  • Distributed application Design
  • Site reliability engineering concepts
  • Modern Architectural concepts – serverless, microservices, containers
  • In depth appreciation of the challenges and nuances of creating a new cloud based solution from an existing product - how that affects existing users, operations, development, devops, delivery, support
  • Architecting Enterprise API Solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Architecture method and governance, in an Agile delivery context
  • Automation and Devops
  • Knowledge of RPA or other Automation platforms a bonus but not essential
