Infrastructure Internship/Co-op

As an intern on the Embedded Robot Middleware team, you will be responsible for developing reliable tools for our Middleware layers. In this role, you will develop systems to help automate testing and system metrics collection and will have the ability to work with a wide variety of technologies ranging from a full web stack to backend systems.

Internship Qualifications

• Currently working towards a B.S., M.S., Ph.D. or advanced degree in a relevant engineering program and within 1 year of graduation. For undergraduates, we are accepting only juniors and seniors.
• Minimum of a 3.5 gpa
• At least one previous industry internship or co-op
• Able to commit to a 4 month internship/co-op
• Professional and positive communication skills
• Ability to relocate to the Bay Area, California

Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Zoox.

Role Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of Python, Javascript, OOP, and RESTful APIs
• Multiple projects or work experience in: server-side/backend systems programming, distributed systems, and/or continuous integration.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with Protobuf, Github REST API, Jira REST API are a plus
• Prior experience in industry setting
