As part of the Voice Infrastructure engineering team, critical ingredients to success include a mindset to build productized voice integrations capabilities for ASAPP. What you'll do

  • Join a team of engineers to build resilient and scalable services and tools to automate all parts of telephony integrations
  • Work with customer facing teams to architect solid and scalable integration with customer’s telephony systems
  • Go deep into SIP and proprietary CTI protocols to analyze and interpret protocol messages for various call flows and translate them into technical requirements and algorithms to implement in ASAPP solution
  • Participate in team’s on-call rotation, triaging and addressing production issuesRaise the bar of ASAPP’s engineering culture

What you'll need

  • 4+ years experience in VoIP/Contact Center technologies Deep understanding of VoIP protocols, including SIP, RTP, WebRTC
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, TLS, HTTP(S), WebSockets
  • Deep understanding and familiarity with call center technologies  - IVR, ACD
  • Basic coding/scripting knowledge like node.js, python, bash
  • Self-learner, independent, and have outstanding problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Very comfortable with all aspects of backend engineering and methodologies like coding, testing, observability

What we'd like to see

  • Experience with ACD solutions from Cisco, Avaya or Genesys is a big plus
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud technologies like AWS, Kubernetes etc. 
  • Deep understanding and familiarity with network protocols and architecture
  • Collaborative and flexible approach to problem solving. Being customer centric is key to success in this role. 
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent field, or equivalent hands-on experience
