We believe it is possible to put an accessible and affordable health service in the hands of every person on earth.  The Self Care tribe focuses on building products that enable people to live fuller and healthier lives by finding insights they didn’t know about themselves. Our engineers develop ground-breaking software products in the spaces of Artificial Intelligence, Health Epidemiology, Chatbots, and Health Monitoring.
We are looking for a motivated, sophisticated and technically capable Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our DevOps community. You would be working alongside our product teams to improve the way we build, release and iterate on our software. You would be working on initiatives that develop and facilitate the development of our infrastructure and tooling.


  • Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to help implement robust and scalable software products
  • Design and develop cloud infrastructure according to the Babylon standards and practices
  • Knowledge sharing and training of non-experts.
  • We want our engineers to get better over time
  • Contribute in general to team deliverables
  • Create advanced monitoring solutions for health care critical machine learning services
  • Automate the entire delivery process of a product. From test automation to documentation generation
  • Help teams retire legacy systems
  • Be comfortable identifying production and process issues
  • On-call rotation for the AI apps. We offer out of hours compensation according to industry standards

Required Skills

  • Building and supporting teams creating cloud-native applications.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud vendor, preferably AWS
  • Expertise in virtualization, containerisation and automated provisioning of infrastructure
  • Hands-on coding in any major programming language
  • Advanced understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile practices
  • An open collaborative mind

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working in a regulated environment
  • Familiarity with AWS Well-Architected Framework
  • Azure DevOps for build and release pipelines
  • Kubernetes (EKS) for container orchestration
  • Database administration
  • Machine learning operations
