Director of ML Infrastructure

Our interaction platform uses machine learning across both voice and digital engagement channels to augment and automate human work, radically increasing productivity and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of customer experience teams.
We're seeking a Director of ML Infrastructure who will lead the development of strategies to accelerate machine learning innovation cycle and empower the our scaling initiatives, using cutting-edge language understanding technologies. You’ll partner closely with production modeling teams and our machine learning service team to build and optimize systems/workflows that enable model developers to focus more on algorithms and analyses and less on the associated engineering.

What you'll do

• Lead the team to build performant, flexible, and user-friendly infrastructure that powers all of ML at ASAPP
• Help lead the team to develop and optimize pipelines that empower researchers to do fast experimentation and ML engineers to seamlessly transition from experimentation to production

What you'll need

• Previous experience managing a team of engineers within an ML and/or Infrastructure capacity
• Significant machine learning and infrastructure expertise in a leadership capacity
• Proven track record to collaborate and build positive relationships with other ML and engineering teams
• Drive cross-functional projects forward as a capable leader
• Must be an empathetic leader; listen, be curious, adaptable, and collaborative

• Ability to work with a diverse global team in a fast-paced environment
• Expertise in cloud computing infrastructure and software (AWS, Kubernetes, Airflow, etc.)
