Uniphore, the leader in Conversational AI, is looking for a hands-on, seasoned and passionate VP & Head of Platform Engineering to join us at our Palo Alto, CA office to lead, grow and guide our distributed platform engineering team. In this role, you will report to Uniphore's SVP of Engineering and Head of the R&D group based in Palo Alto, CA. You will be responsible for all the engineering efforts related to our revolutionary Conversational Service Automation (CSA) Platform which is the foundation on which all our Product and Solution offerings are built. Our Conversational Service Automation (CSA) Platform is a hyper scalable and modular AI platform which brings together all the core components necessary to build industry leading Conversation AI and Automation solutions. This year we plan to grow this team to about 45 people across US and India and the new leader is expected to drive team hiring across both US and India.


  • Managing, growing and leading a globally distributed high performance platform engineering team
  • Hiring and mentoring the best engineering talent
  • Hands-on leadership and guidance to the team
  • Own and oversee overall Platform Architecture, Design and Engineering
  • Work with Program, DevOps & Release Management to ensure release predictability, robustness and quality
  • Drive Uniphore's technology strategy and improvements for the Platform.
  • Understand and collaborate through the entire product lifecycle from concept to execution while working with closely with peers in Product Management, Data Science, Application Engineering and Delivery.


  • Bachelor or Masters degree in CS or related areas.
  • 15+ years of Product and Platform Engineering in Enterprise/B2B product space  
  • Well-versed with Agile/Kanban SW practices
  • Experience in building ML/AI driven, data and compute intensive platforms and products
  • Strong organizational & leadership skills.
  • Start-up experience is highly desirable
  • Extensive experience in working with stakeholders to create hiring strategies to build high performance teams.
  • Stound knowledge of big data, cloud and ML processing architectures & infrastructure
  • Familiar with latest platform technologies - Microservices, Containers, Orchestration, Containers, Messaging, SQL, NoSQL, ML engineering, Auto-scale, multi-tenant, AWS/GCP/Azure cloud, data lakes and pipelines
  • Exposure to Cloud Architecture, Scalability and Security is highly desirable.
  • Must be knowledgeable about latest industry & technology trends, best practices, and change management.
