Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. All new and existing Atlassians will continue to work from home until it’s safe to return to our offices. When our offices re-open, we will provide the choice to work from home or return to work in an office unless a job requirement makes it necessary for a particular role to be performed at an Atlassian office.
JOB DUTIES:PROVIDE VISION AND STRATEGY FOR THE PLATFORM SRE ORGANIZATION. RESPONSIBLE FOR TEAM CHARTER AND MISSION. STAKEHOLDER AND PARTNER TEAM MAPPING AND MANAGEMENT. CONDUCT PRIORITIZATION AND DECISION-MAKING FRAMEWORK. RESPONSIBLE FOR ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE AND SUCCESS CRITERIA. PREPARE 1-3-YEAR ROADMAP. PROVIDE OVERALL TECHNICAL DIRECTION FOR THE TEAM’S SERVICES AND TECHNOLOGY. MANAGE A MEDIUM SIZED ORGANIZATION CONSISTING OF MANAGERS AND INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTORS. PROVIDE MENTORING AND GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES. WORK ON RESOLUTION OF CONFLICTS AND REMOVAL OF ROADBLOCKS/ MAINTAIN OPERATIONAL AND SWE COMPETENCIES. DRIVE TEAM COMMUNICATIONS AND OTHER TEAM RITUALS. WORK WITH STAKEHOLDERS, PEERS, AND LEADERSHIP, TAKE INPUTS FROM COMPANY GOALS AND OTHER BUSINESS PRIORITIES TO INFORM ANNUAL AND QUARTERLY ROADMAPS.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:MASTER’S DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, SOFTWARE ENGINEERING OR A RELATED FIELD PLUS 1 YEAR OF DIRECT TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE IN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT OR SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEERING, WITH AT LEAST 1 YEAR DOCUMENTED MANAGERIAL EXPERIENCE IN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT OR SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEERING.
ALTERNATE REQUIREMENTS:BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, SOFTWARE ENGINEERING OR A RELATED FIELD PLUS 4 YEARS OF DIRECT TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE IN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT OR SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEERING, WITH AT LEAST 2 YEARS DOCUMENTED MANAGERIAL EXPERIENCE IN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT OR SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEERING.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:MUST PASS TECHNICAL INTERVIEW.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:UP TO 10% INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL IS REQUIRED.More about our benefits
