· Routinely merge source code between branches in a complex branching setup.
· Build, maintain and continuously improve an infrastructure for a multi-site development team including source code repository, build, integration, release tools and scripts, continuous integration infrastructure, packaging and deployment tools.
· Develop processes and tools to maintain code base integrity, including check-in validation rules and branch/merge processes.
· Develop processes for, and perform ongoing integration of all open source and third party code.
· Investigate and recommend best practices for maintaining code quality, including development of code metrics, code review workflows, code coverage measurement and the use of static and dynamic analysis tools.
· Influence and drive operational excellence best practices within the organization.
· Influence the team’s technical and business strategy by making insightful contributions to the team’s priorities and approach. Make a significant contribution to team planning.
· Actively mentor engineers, improving their skills, their knowledge of our systems, and their ability to get things done.

Basic Qualifications

· Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Python, Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
· 5+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
· Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, C#, Java, or Perl
· Experience in defining code pipelines architectures, reporting dashboards and creating code quality metrics

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with Software packaging tools such as Docker and deploying them in AWS
· Strong experience in creating reporting dashboards using Tableau, QuickSight, etc
· Experience in deploying code coverage and other software quality tools.
· Strong knowledge of resource management, scheduling, code generation and , compute graph optimization
· Proficiency in hardware definition/architecture collaboration and hardware / software integration
· Experience with professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
· AWS solution architect certification
