At BlueCat our core values are the foundation of our culture of fun, we win as a team and value employees who have the courage to act and to make an impact every day  BlueCat is looking for a full-time Cloud Engineer in Toronto.  Cloud Engineers will design, deploy, build and manage BlueCat’s customer-facing Amazon-based SaaS application infrastructure and create all the tooling and automation needed to enable our teams and give our customers a top-drawer experience.  Additionally, you will work closely with Product Management and embed with Engineering teams to build and constantly drive excellence in our products.  The most important aspect of this team is that we’re never satisfied with status quo, we continually learn, adapt and extend. BlueCat is an agile shop, so we expect you to Get Sh!t Done by experimenting, failing, learning and most importantly, pushing forward.  BlueCat is a highly collaborative place to work, we support, thank and congratulate each other.  The primary responsibility of the Cloud Engineer is to make sure our SaaS products are online and performing well at all times.  This involves a litany of skills such as: 
- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP Services;- Deployment, managing and best practices of Kubernetes and Docker;- Experience or drive to work with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack;- Solid understanding of Python, Java, Go, or another development language;- Master at CI/CD with Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD, Grafana;- Managing and scaling databases such as ElasticSearch, InfluxDB, Postgres;- Vision of how to rollout a DevSecOps, and GitOps practice. 
This job might be for you if you: -Can write code – in any language; php, python, ruby, java, shell scripting, whatever (ideally in multiple languages) – and you have implemented some of your stuff into a production environment. -Have at least a few years’ experience in an operational role, whether that be DevOps, SRE or traditional network/server management. -Are familiar with at least one configuration management system; Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack or equivalent. -Love technology and want to work on a killer platform with cutting edge capabilities ripe for automating. -Believe that a happy customer is one that doesn’t have to call you with problems or to report errors. -Are comfortable communicating with people at all levels of the company who are spread all over the world. -Understand that a job is not finished until it’s tested, documented and highly automated. -Know that occasionally, you’ll probably be fixing something from home in your PJ’s -Have worked on 24x7x365 production systems deployed in multiple sites and geographies.
