Goodfood is a 100% cloud based company, we are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer responsible for operating and managing our cloud-based platform and applications. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our services are running smoothly, are highly available, and are cost-effective. You will be responsible for monitoring and fixing production problems in a way that minimizes impact to the business. Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, monitor and automate our cloud infrastructure while delivering high reliability and optimal performance
  • Use DevOps and Infrastructure as Code frameworks and best practices to manage our infrastructure
  • Ensuring cost-effective service delivery by automating critical processes, including server deployment, configuration, monitoring, and problem resolution.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems
  • Performing quick and accurate troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains
  • Create and support Test Automation and Continuous Integration & Deployment methodology/tooling
  • Orchestrate and execute various system upgrades (servers, databases, caches, etc.)
  • Develops CI/CD pipeline to automate deployments and operations tasks more effectively and consistently
  • Provide automated solutions for recurring requests
  • Create documentation including design, procedures, operational support artifacts

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or software engineering
  • Extensive experience in Linux system administration (preferably Debian and CentOS)
  • Experience with Cloud Infrastructures (GCP is a must, Azure will be an advantage)
  • Experience with Monitoring Tools (NewRelic, Datadog, Splunk, etc.)
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines, Configure code review, build and test steps
  • Excellent knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience building a microservices architecture that is now used in production
  • Knowledge of system/network security and data backup/recovery
  • Ability to create scripts using Bash, Python, Perl or other languages
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with people and teams specialized in all types of disciplines
  • Great attention for details

  • Knowledge of Istio
  • Experience with web scripting languages (PHP, Node.js, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Experience with Terraform/Ansible/Chef/Jenkins
