The RoleWe are looking for a DevOps engineer to help build robust systems and infrastructure to support our vehicles and software.  DevOps engineers build the foundational systems upon which all of our software operates. Responsibilities include building, managing, and monitoring our systems as well as supporting development and production teams. 
Our team is focused on a rapid path to market, in order to maximize the benefits of self-driving technologies for all. To do this, we need our engineers to be versatile, have leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic about tackling problems across the full range of our systems. Working at Optimus Ride you will innovate with engineers and designers who cumulatively have decades of experience in computer vision, machine learning, sensing and actuation, human-machine interface, and design. You will be creating new technologies through software development that integrates your areas of expertise to enable self-driving systems to be possible today.


  • Develop software and systems for fleets of self-driving cars
  • Develop and maintain build and deployment of our application pipelines
  • Support various engineering teams
  • Deploy and maintain systems in our infrastructure
  • Design and implement security best-practices
  • Collaborate closely with other engineers to find elegant solutions to hairy problem
  • Be part of an oncall environment


  • 4+ years of experience working as Devops engineer
  • 2+ years of Cloud Platform experience- Azure, GCP or AWS
  • Solid grasp of cloud technology and architecture such as VPC, Vnets, security groups, Az etc  
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Azure resource manager or AWS Cloudformation
  • Configuration management systems such as Ansible
  • Experience with container services - Docker, Kubernetes
  • Deep expertise with Linux administration, system administration, and network administration
  • Knowledge of different protocols and services like SSH, DNS, DHCP Git, PostgreSQL, MySQL
  • Proficient in shell scripting and Python
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins Experience working in environment using - scrum, kanban or other agile framework
  • Experience with build and release automation process for web applications


  • Experience implementing data storage and processing systems (e.g., AWS, Spark, SQL)
  • Performance analysis and optimization
  • Experience with Google Gsuite
  • Experience in operating scalable microservice/distributed architecture 
  • Serverless architecture like - lambda, cloud functions or others
  • Willingness to get down and dirty at our in house infrastructure 
  • Azure, GCP, AWS certifications
