Role Responsibilities
The Senior Finance Analyst in AWS Infrastructure Central Finance (ICF) will be the effective CFO for the Infrastructure System Automation team - a large organization responsible for delivering cutting-edge software solutions enabling system-driven automation for AWS to continue be the world leader in cloud computing. These solutions include supply chain planning and execution, data center construction optimization, and data center operations work management. The organization also includes Enterprise Engineering team, which owns the key products that all Amazonians use to securely and reliably access corporate resources, communicate with one another, and collaborate with customers.

The successful candidate will understand the business needs, drive the financial planning, provide analytical insights and recommendations to the business team to facilitate growth of the business, and communicate financial results to senior business leaders to support strategic business decisions.

Key Strategic Objectives
The successful hire will work across the AWS organization and AWS finance to drive better financial alignment of key strategic initiatives, and demonstrate the financial merit of new initiatives - all while providing overall financial partnership, including weekly headcount tracking, monthly financial reviews and variance analysis, and annual OP planning.

Basic Qualifications


· BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science) or equivalent and a minimum 5 years of finance experience, OR master’s degree and 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

· Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
· Solid business judgment and controllership focus
· Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
· Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MSAccess, Essbase and/or Cognos) and other financial systems such (i.e. Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
· A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer focused, professional demeanor
· MBA preferred
