The infrastructure team at eero is responsible for all of the servers and software needed to manufacture new eero devices and operate existing ones in the cloud. We are looking for a new team member to work closely with eero’s manufacturing team and own the infrastructure on the ground floor of the factories. This role requires strong knowledge of administering Unix systems, as well as strong networking fundamentals to connect the factories to the cloud. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to take significant ownership of some of eero’s most business-critical processes, and ensure we can produce and deliver first-class products to our customers.

What You’ll Do -
· Own the setup and configuration of the servers that power eero’s factories
· Act as the liaison between eero manufacturing and eero’s cloud in AWS, connecting the factory and cloud infrastructure
· Work closely with eero’s manufacturing team to diagnose and resolve any issues that arise in our factory operations
· Ensure that factory servers are kept up-to-date with operating system updates and software patches
· Identify processes that require manual work and drive towards automated solutions
· Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure that our factory lines stay up and running
· Travel to factories in Vietnam and China to resolve issues on the ground floor

Basic Qualifications

· 4+ years of DevOps experience on Unix-based systems.
· Exceptional technical english communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

· Excellent Troubleshooting and Debugging skills
· Understanding of networking and routing fundamentals
· Basic knowledge of Infrastructure management tooling like Terraform
· Basic knowledge of configuration management tooling like Ansible/Chef
· Familiarity with database management (MySQL, Postgres)
· Experience scripting processes in bash and python
· Experience with AWS services such as RDS and EC2
· Experience working across timezones as a remote office
· Ability to shift work day to start at 7:00 to maximize overlap with HQ
