Job DescriptionDevOps Engineer responsible for building and managing our existing Kubernetes environments in AWS/OCI. The position is highly technical and balanced between engineering and operations roles such as systems configuration management and software development. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can act independently, lead other team members, and represent operations core values across the organization. ·        Experience with Container technologies, Kubernetes and helm charts·        Strong Terraform experience·        Cloud technologies Responsibilities:·        You’ll help drive, implement, support and maintain infrastructure services used by 8x8 with a primary focus on Kubernetes. This will become the primary core component and infrastructure for 8x8 services·        Drive and support migration of services to production K8S environments.·        Develop and support consistent deployment/management practices across public and private Cloud.·        Hardening, securing the Kubernetes cluster with monitoring and auditing dashboards·        Develop and support consistent deployment/management practices across public and private Cloud.·        Help in the automation of CI and deployments in a consistent and reliable way·        Hashicorp vault for secrets and credentials·        Work closely with application teams in ensuring best practices are followed and the infrastructure automation can be self-service·        Be on call when needed to support the infrastructure and our systems Qualifications·        At least 4 years hands-on experience with containers in Production Environments - Docker, Kubernetes preferred·        2+ years of Scripting experience - Terraform a must (Shell, Ruby/JRuby, Perl, Python, Javascript) and Systems Administration skills·        3+ years of experience in Public Cloud preferably AWS (OCI experience a plus).·        Experience implementing CICD strategies & Container deployments using Helm charts·        Experience using Engineering tools like Jenkins, Sonar, GIT·        Experience in managing and releasing code using automation is a strong plus.·        Have a broad understanding of development, web operations, SDLC, etc·        5 to 10 years' experience as a DevOps Engineer Basic Qualifications·        B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.·        5 years' experience as a DevOps Engineer·        Understanding the concepts and principles behind DevOps, CICD·        Experience working in an agile environment and broad understanding of SDLC.·        Experience using standard industry tools used in continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines·        Experience with a highly available and scalable SaaS.
