Imagine a world where every car where there’s a smartphone is safer, where massive amounts of data and insights makes cities safer and reduce insurance costs for everyone. Zendrive is executing rapidly on its mission of “making all ground transportation safer using data and analytics” and is focused on building products to support the evolution of transportation. 
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong Amazon Web Services experience. If you are passionate about automation, infrastructure and self-driven to continuously streamline engineering processes while maintaining efficiency, availability and security of a product that is used by millions of customers, then Zendrive is the place for you. This will be a contract role for 6months . 
Responsibilities:- Work collaboratively with our engineers to operate our systems- Understand our system architecture and come up with recommendations around monitoring, deployment automations and security- Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, operations and security- Perform periodic audit of the system in terms of security- Help in troubleshooting of system level issues and in any maintenance activity 
Qualification: BE/ BTech or MTech/ Dual degree in Computer Science, from a tier1 institute 
Competencies and Skills Required:DevOps Engineer is required to have a deep understanding of system stack that includes operating systems Linux/Unix, hardware, networking and security. Operating systems at Zendrive scale can be challenging, one should be able to troubleshoot system level issues in a timely manner. Knowledge of setting up adequate monitoring and access policies in AWS is important.
Some primary skills and competencies that we look for in a candidate are:- Strong background in Linux/Unix administrationFamiliar with automation tools like Chef, Puppet etc. Good knowledge about open source tools and AWS  Good with atleast one scripting language Carries good understanding of networking and securityAbility to understand cloud based system designGood communication skills
