Co-Op/Intern Site Reliability Analyst

Job location: our office in Ottawa, Canada or Remote, Canada

Term length: 4 months starting May 2022

About the team

As a member of our Cloud Services Site Reliability team, you will help analyze various technologies related to cloud computing. The successful candidate should have the ability to analyze if the cloud Infrastructure resources of the organization are sufficient. The Co-Op/Intern Site Reliability Analyst will work closely with Cloud Operations teams in analyzing systems, running scripts to collect data, and to assist in making recommendations to management based on findings.

What you will do

  • Participate in Cloud Services performance and capacity-related projects
  • Develop and publish performance and capacity metrics for existing services
  • Assist with application performance monitoring solutions for Kinaxis’ SaaS environments
  • Develop and implement scripts to help collect data
  • Analyze and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux Server related issues
  • May perform additional projects upon request

What we are looking for

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary diploma or degree program in computer science or a related discipline
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, hardworking, and enthusiastic
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently when requested
  • A passion for computer and cloud technologies
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident due to CGRP security requirements

Technologies that we use:

  • Monitoring and reporting tools (elasticsearch/kibana, PostgreSQL/grafana)
  • Microsoft/Linux based servers
  • Virtual and cloud infrastructure for development, support, and testing
  • Scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
  • JIRA, Confluence, Git (BitBucket/Stash)
