As a Test Automation Engineer you will define, implement, and maintain an automated testing capability that will be used to functionally test and validate software being delivered to our customers. You will be involved in all phases of the testing process.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work as a member of Software Development team to interpret functional requirements
  • Build and execute automated tests to deliver complex collection planning features
  • Support existing products and services
  • Analyze requirements for complex collection planning capabilities and deliver test recommendations
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests
  • Identify, log and track software defects
  • Continually build knowledge and proficiency in testing methodologies
  • Provide release readiness recommendations based on test execution and defect metrics
  • Participate in SAFe and Agile meetings as appropriate

Required Qualifications:

  • Active  TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain a clearance
  • 5 years or more of relevant work experience
  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Experience:
    • developing/creating automation scripts with Cypress or Selenium
    • defining test scenarios, test cases and test data from requirements
    • performing manual and/or automated software testing
    • with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium (Nightwatch, Frameworkium), Cypress, Eggplant, PostMan, Cucumber, Robot
  • Experience of programming/scripting languages such as Java, Javascript, Python, Bash
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure
  • Proven track record of using scripted test automation to improve quality, consistency, and coverage within a software development environment.
  • Experience with deploying and configuring complex software under Windows
  • Experience with working in an Agile/SCRUM/DevOps delivery model
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with QA testing tools (Jira & TestRail preferred)
  • Excel at delivering assigned tasks on schedule
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Preferred (Not Required but a plus):

  • Familiar with GEOINT and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) missions
  • Familiar with open-source testing tools
  • Intermediate level of experience writing SQL Queries
  • Programming skills required. C# Preferred
  • Establish quality standards for software programs, features, and applications.
  • Design test plans and test schedules for all software
  • Perform tests for new software code, features, programs, and systems
  • Report bugs and document all defects found in tested programs and apps.
  • Write bug reports that outline these problems
  • Define test approaches
  • Define and script functional test scenarios
  • Evaluate and report on testing results
  • Identify bugs and areas for improvement
  • Assist with diagnostic analysis of potential issues, functions, and data
