What you'll get to do...

A Sales Engineer/TAMat Pagely is in the unique position to get to know our clients before they're a customer, as well as assist them all throughout the
relationship.

As a Sales Engineer, you are the "technical opener" on sales calls with qualified and prospective clients. You’re reviewing their initial questions,
showing them our technology and platform features, and working in tandem with our SDR team to help secure deals and support Pagely's ongoing growth.

As a Technical Account Manager, you're helping those same people after they've signed up for our service; onboarding, live training, assisting with
preparation for site launches, and simply working more closely with each customer to get them across the finish line. In this context, you work in
tandem with Support and DevOps to help lead customers to a successful outcome.

This is a technical role for someone who is also a "people person". You have the ability to navigate conversations when it comes to all things about Pagely's
technology stack and feature set, and reinforce the perception that there is an entire team of experts just like you on staff (there really is!). Confidence is just as important as competence.

The ideal candidate is someone who feels at home in an SSH terminal or with an API, but also enjoys interacting directly with customers via our online helpdesk and over Slack. Contributing to and refining our documentation is a routine part of our processes. As a remote team, we are brought together by tools and automation that help us all collaborate asynchronously.

You will:

- Act as the technical resource on Sales calls.
- Help to “rightsize” deals for the appropriate server scale, layout, and other architectural aspects.
- Create and expand on whitepapers, diagrams, knowledge base, and other technical sales collateral.
- Conduct live demos and walkthroughs of Pagely's Atomic dashboard and platform features.
- Drive "kickoff" calls once a customer has signed up, to determine the game plan for their onboarding and go-live.

- Capture the takeaways from each call and sharing that with the greater SupportOps team so they have a better understanding of each client's needs.
- Gain firsthand experience with our products and features by trying things out yourself, in order to confidently guide customers through each topic.
- Help to test and improve our sales intake forms, onboarding checklists, go-live checklists, and other process-related items.
- Help with implementation of custom configs, rules, or other features based on client needs.
- Provide ongoing care and check-ins with clients who opt to pay for higher levels of engagement

Your experience should include...

- 3+ years of experience working with WordPress, AWS (or other Clouds), Linux & LAMP (NGINX and/or Apache) environments to host high-traffic, mission-critical production web applications.
- 3+ years of experience in roles such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Account Manager, Technical Support Engineer, Systems Engineer, or DevOps Engineer.
- An outgoing and helpful personality, comfortable with a customer-facing role, and a natural curiosity for finding solutions to complex problems.
- Familiarity with concepts such as Google Pagespeed, Core Web Vitals, Full Page Caching, Object Caching, and Content Delivery Networks.
- Familiarity with tools like Hubspot, ZenDesk, GitHub, Atlassian Suite.
- Remote-first mindset: Slack, Zoom, and other team communication methods are a regular part of our day to day.
- Able to work with common data formats such as YAML and JSON.
- Creativity with graphic design tools and copywriting is a plus.
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible) is a plus.
- Experience with Docker is a plus.
- AWS Certifications are preferred, but not required
