The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Process Automation Engineer to join our IT team.

Reporting to the Director, Development and Quality Assurance, the Process Automation Engineer is responsible for working directly with leaders, process owners and subject matter experts in assessing process automation needs, designing, developing, and deploying the robot solution, as well as monitoring and supporting these solutions through their lifecycle.

What your day looks like:

  • Work with business to review their manual processes to determine best fit for automation, robotics or suggest other solutions
  • Design and develop the automation workflows, train the machine learning models and work with clients closely to build, launch, monitor and improve the bots (chat and control) post launch
  • Estimate efficiencies anticipated through the automation solution; analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing automation solutions
  • Executes various key bot activities (e.g., copy/paste data between applications and screens, OCR, keystroke programming, data comparisons)
  • Contribute to setting up the RPA development environment (software installation, installation of related technologies)
  • Configure new processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand using Enterprise Robotics technologies such UI Path and Blue Prism
  • Manages security and access control mechanisms including data encryption, robot entitlement process and single sign-on
  • Handles interactions with internals applications as part of automated processes
  • Implements bot control/management using control room functions Monitor error logs of robotic processes and resolve issues when they occur
  • Document robotic solutions and provide support through their lifecycle
  • Ensure standards, best practices, and principles are applied in operational improvement projects and standard operations


Your experience and skills:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or in a related field
  • 5 years of experience in automating processes and deployment architecture for high-availability and scalability
  • 1+ year experience in a financial services company and a strong understanding of back-office systems
  • 2+ years of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) design and DevSecOps experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in software development, business analytics, and/or application analytics
  • Ability to articulate technical solutions to non-technical audiences
  • Programming and coding skills in any domain will be an asset (i.e., C#, .Net or Java)
  • Proven Knowledge of Integrated development environments (i.e., SQL/APIs)
  • Experience with Agile Methodology
  • Deep awareness and understanding of advanced automation technologies (e.g., machine learning, AI, Smart workflows etc.)
  • Strong problem solving & innovation
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
