As a result, we provide the fastest, most scalable data integration platform in the industry, and we support Big Data natively. Talend is looking for a SRE Lead Engineer to join and bootstrap our SRE team in India offices. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the security, stability, and scalability of our Talend Cloud service. You’ll get to work hands-on with plenty of exciting technology and scale challenges as we grow to support millions of transactions across hundreds of servers in our Talend Cloud environment. We are seeking candidates with expertise on both development and system administration. Experience·       10+ years in an SRE/DevOps role or equivalent experience
·       Ensure high reliability and availability of the Talend Cloud·       Lead the SRE team in India·       Work in close collaboration with other Talend teams (incl. SRE, Support, PMs..) and external Partners·       Design and develop new infrastructure features based on Cloud Technology in a Public Cloud environment·       Lead the design and development of effective tooling / automation / documentation in response to both identify and address reliability risks·       Lead the design and evangelisation of Cloud-related best practices / optimisations to improve reliability, scalability and performance·       Lead fellow operations engineers and development teams on complex problems·       Use professional concepts, company objectives and technical expertise to resolve complex issues at cloud infrastructure, systems, network, and application stacks in creative and effective ways·        ·       Mentor and coach fellow SREs and peers on Cloud / backend technologies, production service operations, reliability, scalability, performance and capacity, security, incident management and troubleshooting·        ·       Perform on-call duty as part of a team maintaining the availability and performance of our cloud infrastructure. Required Skills ·       Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field·       Confirmed people and technology leadership·       Self-motivated, autonomous profile, free to determine the work priorities based on general directions from management;·       Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task with close attention to details·       Analytical skills for solving complex problems, taking a broad perspective to identify possible solutions·       Experience in Cloud engineering / architecture (at least one from AWS or Azure) and microservices domain (Docker, Kubernetes...).·       Experience in IaC / configuration mgmt. / systems automation tools in production environments at scale (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, etc.);·       Experience in DevOps/SRE practices, such as creating, using, evolving SLIs/SLOs utilizing industry-standard monitoring/observability solutions·       Expertise in one or more of the following technologies: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Zookeeper, ETCD, ActiveMQ, CI/CD (Jenkins2), scripting / automation (Bash, Python), Prometheus, ELK·       Incident Management experience coupled with effective communication skills·       Fundamental understanding of Agile software development methodologies (e.g. Kanban, SCRUM, SDLC...)·       Proficiency in English communications, both oral and in writing·       Experience in working within a distributed international Agile team environment
