Job summary
Amazon Corporate Security (ACS) manages all aspects of physical security at Amazon Corporate locations and is a leader in security management, policy, and best practices. ACS is looking for a new team member who embodies the Amazon Leadership Principles of Customer Obsession and Think Big, to join our team as a Senior Manager Physical Security Infrastructure (PSEC) based in Arlington, VA.

You will join a team of security professionals who are responsible for managing Amazon’s Corporate Security programs worldwide. The high-visibility position will report to the ACS Regional Manager for the Americas. This security professional will be responsible for delivering ACS’s promise of a safe and secure work environment for all Amazonians by successfully using their project management and technical security skills to manage the corporate security aspects of Global Real Estate and Facilities projects, as well as creating strategic partnerships with security vendors and internal customers to execute a unique and exciting security project management program.

You will be expected to use your experience and strong judgment to influence business related security decisions that may have substantial impact on business as usual, and/or project design and implementation.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Partnering with cross functional teams to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities in the new product development process;

• Partnering with Global Real Estate and Facilities stakeholders, in support of regional project initiatives, security design and security systems implementation;

• Developing and overseeing standard operating procedure development for design, configuration and implementation of physical security systems for both people protection and the effective storage and management of prototype and other sensitive devices;

• Developing strategies to consistently evolve and improve security related performance and programs - aligned to Amazon’s growth, risks and operations

• Manage multiple security projects concurrently – establish and track project milestones and deliverables, and align key stakeholders

• Lead cross functional teams in construction security planning, design, and oversight for new and existing construction security projects

In the context of project management - the successful candidate is expected to create, establish, implement and validate compliance across the corporate security design spectrum to include: physical security design standards, information security standards, emergency management standards, and facilities management best practices. Successful security projects are expected to leverage technology and systems to create automated processes and support systems that are sustainable and scalable.

· Highly skilled in quantitative analysis of key metrics and other data
· Clear understanding of the security function as a business enabler

Basic Qualifications


· Bachelor’s degree; alternatively, equivalent documented educational hours of course study
· 10 years’ experience with progressive program management roles or equivalent experience ideally on a corporate or government security team
· 5 years’ experience managing strategic business operations and program plans.

Preferred Qualifications

· CPP, PSP, CISSP, PMP or similar certification
· Experience in providing security oversight at high-rise buildings or other office settings
· Experienced in corporate security for a global company
· Experience writing and publishing security standards and policies
· Ability to travel up to 40% of the time with little to no notice
