As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and improving the quality of our applications. Your role will be split among people leadership (performance and growth management), delivery and execution, and hands-on development. You will be responsible for automation initiatives as well as driving the day-to-day execution of projects and delivering milestones. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment with the leadership team, including product managers, engineering managers, and infrastructure engineers to ensure high quality for the desired features.

What you'll do

  • Lead QA efforts across multiple projects and internal teams
  • Define, design, develop, and maintain test automation suites
  • Triage, diagnose, and debug using root-cause analysis
  • Collaborate across the team and follow up to ensure bugs are resolved
  • Advocate for the QA process for all pieces of content released on our platforms
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple internal groups (Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Leadership)
  • Inspire the engineering team to enhance the quality of our product for our users
  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally

What we’d like to see on your resume

  • 2+ years of start-up experience managing a small team
  • Experience developing a QA process and lifecycle that fits the overall company strategy
  • Experience with modern automation tools like WebDriver IO or ChromeDriver
  • Experience with web and mobile platforms and a very good understanding of and ability to troubleshoot the testing ecosystem
  • An ability to identify opportunities for improvement and tackle them autonomously.

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience using Playwright
  • Experience using Appium
  • Experience with mobile development tools like Xcode and Android Studio
  • Prior start-up experience
