Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Liaison between Cruise, Eurofins (Union City) test facility, and other external labs.  Lead and oversee all facility operations, equipment installations, calibrations, test setup, PM, and qualification testing. 
  • Subject matter expert in executing validated test procedures and developing extended test plans in support of Hardware Test team and in line with program priorities.  Create supporting documentation and technical presentations as needed.
  • Execute test specifications and test processes to shaker vibration & shock, thermal/humidity, corrosion, water/dust resistance and other GMW3172 or similar test standards. Support of all phase testing (HALT, HAST, EV, DV, ect.).
  • Support Hardware, Fleet Reliability, and other cross-functional test teams with product testing, development, and execution. 
  • Produce, maintain, and develop detailed documentation to support process improvement and provide structured project/program workflows.  Design and maintain an equipment scheduling database, operations protocols, advanced employee training programs, and EHS standards. 
  • Track and maintain equipment calibrations, capital, and asset management.
  • Provide support for ISO 17025 accreditation in support of a Quality Management System, as applicable. 
  • Forecast future testing infrastructure and equipment needs.  Write justifications, request for quote(s), plan and execute on capital purchasing.
  • Observe all safety standards. Maintain a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment. Follow operating instructions, use protective equipment when required, and use equipment and materials properly. Actively strive to prevent accidents and injuries.


You should apply for this role if you have the following qualifications: 

  • 12+ years of environmental reliability test and project management experience in a FA or test lab environment. 
  • Formal education in Engineering Technology or a trade school major, BS, AS, technology trade certificate, or work experience equivalent. 
  • Proven technical expert with lab test equipment and instrumentation. 
  • Detailed knowledge in Data Acquisition Setup and Recording
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems. 
  • You must have the ability to work in a cooperative, rapidly changing team setting with aggressive goals and challenging timelines. 
  • Time management and cooperative development skills. Focus, attention to detail, and require minimal guidance to complete tasks. 
  • Strong work ethic, quality workmanship, and team oriented. 
  • Current driver's license with a good standing driving record. 
  • Project Management experience 
  • Jira experience preferred
