Excellent communication skills are key, and being able to ask penetrating questions to uncover the root causes of challenges being presented. Our engineers are strong consultants, who are just as comfortable talking through solutions with clients as they are at coding. As Automation Software Engineer, you will support the Automation Software & Systems Integrations team operating from the Netherlands and the US. The team is responsible for the Warehouse Control System software and its integration with the mechanical installation, automation controls layer (PLC), and the systems driving operational processes within the warehouse.
In this role, you will focus on delivery of new features for the warehouse software generally, as well as occasional warehouse-specific integration and deployment for both new and retrofit facilities. You will work closely with the rest of the team to plan and execute development tasks in an agile setting, including building new business logic and integrating with external systems.
You will work closely with technical leads, fellow developers, our client solutions team, and client partners. You will participate in agile/scrum ceremonies and will work as a contributor within these ceremonies.
Within three months, you will be ingrained with your project and its goals, while developing positive relationships within and outside of your team.
Within one year, you will have worked across various client and internal Levvel teams to build solutions, whether those be for clients or for internal initiatives. As a top-tier engineer, not only will you be engaged internally to foster and develop your skill sets, but will also be invested in honing new ones. At Levvel, being a part of the engineering capability means continuing to help us live our core values and culture, as well as drive growth through quality and consistent work and interactions.
