Atlassian IT is leading a number of transformational initiatives that are aimed at transitioning Atlassian into a $10 bn enterprise. The team, that you will be part of, has a mission to build a brand new platform - Commerce Cloud Platform (CCP) - to transform the billing & payments engines and integrate with IT while unifying the billing experience for our customers across the entire suite of Atlassian products!
Are you passionate about building scalable Automation solutions to tackle business critical application challenges?  If so, we want you to join our team!Atlassian is looking for an Automation Engineer to join our IT team in Bengaluru, India.  Our team is building an automation platform from the ground up to replace manual testing efforts across Atlassian’s business critical applications.

Must to Have:

  • MS/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
  • 5+ years of experience in application development and/or test automation framework development.
  • Very good coding skills using Java programming language.
  • Good experience in design, implement and maintain highly scalable, configurable, and robust test automation solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining and implementing several UI and API test automation solutions leveraging one or more of the following: Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, RestAssured.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment tools (e.g. Git, Bamboo)
  • Good communication skills; the ability to explain and present details to both technical and business audiences.
  • Very good troubleshooting, debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Good to have:

  • Experience with a scripting language such as JavaScript/Python/Ruby in a Linux environment.
  • Self-starter and possess strong self-motivation.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-team technical discussions and decision making

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement detailed test designs using sound software test engineering principles in the context of test automation platforms and integration across distributed systems.
  • Enhance test automation platform, develop and maintain reliable test automation suites by following the clean code principles.
  • Coordinate with different software development teams to develop, test, deploy, and report on product performance, quality, security, and stability.

You'll collaborate with other developers to write the best code for the project and deliver amazing results that help scale our solution internally within Atlassian.
