As a Systems & DevOps Engineer you will join a team of experienced IT professionals, manage and support the services life cycle (deploy, configure, upgrade, monitor, optimize).

Main Duties:

  • maintain live services by monitoring performance indicators
  • grow systems by advocating for changes that enhance reliability, performance, and service ability
  • perform and automate deployment, maintenance, and upgrades across a fleet of servers and devices
  • draft and maintain service documentation and processes
  • perform routine system audits
  • determine bottlenecks and evolve automation of repetitive tasks

Requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  • Knowledge of Microsoft & Linux Servers administration, either from working experience or from university projects.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Containerization Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
  • Experience with VCS tools (GIT or SVN)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and knowledge how to administer and manage the tool such as Jenkins or TeamCity
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms work from an infrastructure standpoint (Azure, AWS or gCloud)
  • Experience with databases (MongoDB, MySQL etc.)
  • Good understanding of networking
  • Knowledge of Scripting languages (Python/php or BASH)
  • Knowledge about message queueing systems (MQTT protocol, Mosquitto, RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ)
  • Knowledge of how Web Server/Load Balancer technologies work (HAProxy or NginX)
  • Storage technologies knowledge such as RAID, LVM, SAN etc.
  • Experience with Log management and log monitoring tools (ELK Stack or Splunk)
  • Knowledge of Deployment strategies (Ansible, Octopus Deploy)

Nice to have:

Significant experience in the following areas but not necessarily in all, will be considered as a plus:

  • Knowledge about message queueing systems (MQTT protocol, Mosquitto, RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ)
  • Knowledge of how Web Server/Load Balancer technologies work (HAProxy or NginX)
  • Storage technologies knowledge such as RAID, LVM, SAN etc.
  • Experience with Log management and log monitoring tools (ELK Stack or Splunk)
