We’re looking for a DevOps engineer to join a small but growing DevOps/InfraSec team. This team is responsible for increasing the rate and reliability of software delivery, automating infrastructure and critical workflows to maintain and better business focus, monitoring for security efforts, and scaling out services and products as we continue to grow rapidly. What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Play a key role in helping design and implement core architectural concepts in support of current and future company objectives
  • Deploy, maintain, and scale out critical applications on cloud-native microservices architecture (AWS, Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)
  • Strengthen our application and environment security, applying standards and best practices and providing tooling to make development workflows more secure
  • Establish, maintain and evolve continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for existing and new services across multiple environments/accounts (BitBucket Pipelines, CircleCI)
  • Ensure systems are highly available and resilient. Monitor for SLA compliance (DataDog, CloudWatch)
  • Protect our customer data with continuous security practices and monitoring/analyses of logs and metrics (AWS Trusted Advisor, AWS GuardDuty, DataDog, CloudWatch)
  • Work collaboratively with multiple agile teams to help deliver end-to-end products and features, seeing them through from conception to delivery
  • Have on call responsibilities in rotation with the engineering team


  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in experience in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • Self-motivated. Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • 5+ years professional experience in DevOps or Systems Engineering in an AWS environment that includes IAM, ECS, RDS, autoscaling
  • Experience maintaining and deploying highly-available, fault-tolerant systems at scale
  • Experience building robust CI/CD tools such as BitBucket Pipelines or CircleCI
  • Success leveraging infrastructure as code and infra automation tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Prior experience with various relational and NoSql database such as Postgres, MySql, S3, Redis, DynamoDB
  • Experience building and managing containerization and clustering in Docker, ECS, Kubernetes
  • Strong familiarity with software and SaaS security best practices

Experience with the following is a Plus! (Not a requirement)

  • Strong understanding of micro-services and related architectures
  • Database administration of Postgres DB or similar
  • AWS Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
  • Knowledge of Linux Kernel fundamentals including job management, memory management, file systems, networking & debugging
