Paradigm is seeking a talented intermediate level Visual Designer to help our client create world-class design expressions for customer engagement and onboarding. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic and hands on approach and a refined visual design aesthetic to create attractive and inspiring interface and instructional assets, generate renderings for presentations, and be able to deliver high-quality visual assets on tight schedules.

As the Sr. Visual Designer, you will:
- Collaborate with interaction and UX designers to create new software and product experiences
- Work closely with the engagement and onboarding design team to create visual design mockups/assets, to capture and resolve bugs, including resolution of design inconsistencies, incorrect or missing graphic resources, etc.
- Create detailed documentation and specifications of user experience concepts and visual design specifications to support implementation by development teams
- Have an aptitude and cultural fit to inspire and collaborate within the multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to the conceptualization, design, and specification of products
- Manage ambiguity, work autonomously and multi-task in an R&D environment
- Be receptive to constructive criticism, and be able to internalize and make design revisions based on feedback from design leaders and design colleagues
- Produce assets of high quality with fast turnaround, and iterate quickly to visualize and evolve visual design solutions
- Create visual design concepts to explore product identity, product interaction, and instructional graphics for user touch points in apps and websites and in print
- Prepare assets for and participate in customer testing with User Experience/User Research
- Create illustrations for storyboards, presentations, ideation
Requirements
Our skills and experience wish list include:
- Bachelor's degree in User Interface Design, Graphic Design, or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years working as Visual Designer
- Excellent visual standards and obsessive attention to detail. Sense of color, scale, harmony, balance, and use of negative space.
- Understanding of style guidelines and ability to document design assets
- Skills in motion, illustration, and concept creation/visualization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong skills in creative design tools
- In-depth understanding of mobile / desktop design standards and patterns (e.g. native components, best practices, etc.)
- Familiarity with user-centered design principles, methodologies, and user research
- Portfolio is required; print and digital interfaces to be showcased in the portfolio is ideal
In compliance with the Pay Transparency law, the minimum salary for this role is $40 per hour + benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience. Our client considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
