About Pawp
At Pawp, we understand that dogs and cats are more than just pets; they're part of the family. However, with increasing vet bills and other pet expenses, it can cost thousands of dollars each year to keep your furry friends healthy and safe.
That's why we're on a mission to improve the quality of life for pets. We're creating tools and services that transform the world of vet care and make it more accessible to everyone.
Pawp is a venture-backed tech company led by Lux Capital. Our founding team has also led the development of products such as Clarity Money and Paribus. Our product has been featured in Forbes, Popsugar, Insider, People, the WSJ, and other publications.
About The Role
Pawp is growing our Veterinary Operations team and hiring for multiple positions for Veterinary Nurses. Veterinary Nurses at Pawp have an impactful role to the care we provide to our members. This role provide tele-triage and tele-advice to Pawp members who have questions or concerns about their cats or dogs. Tele-triage involves communicating with a licensed veterinary professional via technology to determine whether a pet's condition is emergent or can wait for an appointment the following business day. While you will not be asked to diagnose, treat, or prescribe medication since a Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) cannot be established through these means, you can list rule-outs to convey urgency and guide clients when they feel most helpless. Tele-advice involves providing valuable educational insights utilizing your knowledge and experience as a licensed veterinary professional. All consultations will be conducted through the Pawp platform, which is equipped with video and chat capabilities.
This role is a 6-month, contract-to-hire position, with a commitment required of up to 24-hours per week. The position has potential to turn into a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
Schedules will be established by shifts. Shift schedule preferences will be based on availability.
