Position: Systems Engineer (Based in Japan)
Responsibilities:
· Work with Sales, PAM, DPAM, TAC, and Marketing team to generate revenues.
· Present technical solution for Extreme products to our customers as a trusted advisor.
- Wireless (ex-Aerohive wireless and other wireless) products
- Edge (ex-Extreme) products
- Campus (ex-Avaya) products
- SD-WAN (ex-Ipanema) products
- DATACENTER (ex-Brocade) products
- ExtremeCloud IQ including SaaS such as Extreme Location, Extreme IOT, Extreme AirDefense and Extreme Guest.
- ExtremeCloud IQ – Site Engine such as Analytics and NAC
· Solve complex networking problems and critical customer situations with the following knowledge.
- Authentication, MLAG, Stack, 802.1BR, xSTP (STP, RSTP, or MSTP), IGMP, PIM, LACP, IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VRRP, SLPP, SPBM
- Packet capture Analysis
- Basic scripting skill in one of these areas Python, Perl, Shell etc.
Education:
· AA or BS (preferably in computer science) or at least 5 to 10 years’ experience working with Routing and Switching and Wireless technologies in a pre-sales position.
· Any public technical certification is preferable.
Experience Requirements:
· Sales achievements with excellent communication, writing and presentation skills in English.
· 5 to 10 years’ work experience in Multiple Layer Switching or Network support
· Strong leadership to drive business with sales team.
Language Skills: Native-level Japanese with customers and Business English to communicate with PM, Engineering team and others in corporate.
Service Skills:
· Understand how a customer feels, what is required and take proper actions.
· Manage high volume of work with patience and flexible mind.
· Act as a liaison with all departments to close deals proactively.
