Sustainability Analyst

Alfa Energy Group is an international sustainability and energy services consultancy based in London, with offices in Frankfurt, and Sarajevo. The company has been successfully delivering energy cost management solutions to 1000s of clients across different countries since 1995. On the back of recent new client acquisitions, we are undergoing an expansion programme, and looking for a Sustainability Analyst to be part of the service delivery team to our existing sustainability team.

You would be providing support services and ongoing care to our existing large and multi-site clients interested in net zero strategy.  Alfa Energy provides ongoing professional growth and a friendly environment for the right candidate. Responsibilities:

  • Creating greenhouse gas inventory lists to assist companies with their regulatory compliance or to inform their emissions reduction strategies
  • Implementing software-based solutions for sustainability analysis and data management.
  • Creating sustainability reports and assisting in implementing company’s energy, carbon, and sustainability agenda.
  • Advising on compliance regarding UK and EU climate policy, including GHG (Greenhouse Gas) reporting legislation, energy efficiency legislation, and other industrial support programmes.
  • Supporting the sales team with proposal writing for Alfa sustainability services
  • Supporting marketing with educational content on developments in energy technology or climate policy of interest to Alfa’s clients

Skills and experience:

  • Exceptional data management, analysis, and presentation skills – essential
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills -essential
  • Exceptional organisational skills – essential
  • Strong communication skills with an adaptability towards different clientele -essential
  • Ability to inform, educate, and engage clients – essential
  • Interest in climate change science and mitigation and in helping companies reduce their GHG emissions – essential
  • Some knowledge in modelling GHG Protocol Scopes 1, 2 and 3 emissions ­– desirable
  • An aptitude for analysing and communicating changes in regulatory guidance – desirable
  • Previous project management experience – desirable
  • Educational background in one of the following areas: Economics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (in the field of Energy), Environmental Sustainability - desirable
