We are looking for a creative and passionate (intern) Product Manager to join the Music Vertical Platform organization, Spotify’s division dedicated to helping artists thrive! Our mission is to create tools that help artists and their teams build an audience, monetize their fans, and live off their work. We have several possible projects to work on that range from UX/UI to platform to data-driven features.
As a Product Management Intern, you will work with a cross-functional team from Design, Technology, and Analytics to define the near-term and long-term roadmap for our self-service offerings. You will also partner with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Legal. From prototyping to development to commercialization, you’ll own the full lifecycle of features on a Spotify product.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with a Product Manager on a new or existing product and build a roadmap for its continued evolution.
- Thoughtfully collaborate to brainstorm new tools, product ideas and strategies to drive growth and engagement..
- Advocate on the behalf of creators, partnering with design and product insights on identifying and understanding user needs, behaviors and pain points.
- Coordinate across all cross-functional partners — including artist & label partnerships, licensing, legal, and support — ensuring feedback is prioritized and ultimately leads to a better product for creators.
- Learn to partner with data scientists and user researchers to understand the performance of your tools, features and systems and identify new opportunities of focus for the future.
- Continue to grow your Product Management skills through group instruction and individual learning.
- Coordinate with internal partners and teams to develop and spread customer empathy.
- Get the best out of those around you by operating as a supportive teammate to engineers, designers and others throughout the agile development process.
- Join a quickly growing and passionate product team and become a member of an accomplished and dedicated group of product leaders.
Who you are
- You are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Data Science or Marketing with the goal of becoming a Product Manager.
- You have a graduation date of 2024 or 2025.
- Previous intern experience in a Product Management or Product Owner role.
- You currently have valid work authorization to work in the country in which this role is based that will extend from June to August 2023
- You have natural leadership tendencies. Your track record shows numerous occasions of bringing people together, formally or informally, to accomplish something you’re passionate about.
- An exceptional communicator. You have experience collaborating effectively with creatives, engineers, and business people. You inspire people to action with your story telling.
- A proven operator. You’ve been on teams building software before and know the basics of the Product Management craft.
- A music enthusiast. You love music and are passionate about helping musicians thrive while delivering fans amazing experiences.

Our paid summer internships last for 10-13 weeks and start at the beginning of June. The last day to apply is March 10th, 2023 at 10AM EST.
The United States hourly rate for this position is 33.00 USD (Undergraduate First Year & Sophomores), 42.00 USD (Undergraduate Juniors & Seniors), 49.00 USD (Masters) & 58.00 USD (PhD) per hour plus a one time intern stipend of 2,253 USD. This position is overtime eligible. These rates may be modified in the future.
