Hours: Part Time–up to 24/hours per week
Pay Rate: $20/hour

Overview of the role
As the Graphic Designer Intern on the Content team you will be responsible for producing digital, social, print, and OOH, (etc.) assets that attract, inform, and galvanize Trevor’s various internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Creative Director, you’ll collaborate with team members by assisting with various graphic design production needs and turning conceptual ideas into creative visual representations. This role presents a unique opportunity to: support an organization that is growing and evolving its brand and visual identity, play a pivotal part in propelling awareness for The Trevor Project’s life-saving crisis intervention services among LGBTQ young people, drive visibility for The Trevor Project’s LGBTQ-affirming mental health resources and research, and more.

- Student. You’re someone who is currently enrolled in post high-school studies, and are within a year of graduation from your program. Graphic Design major preferred.

- Graphic Designer. You have intermediate knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design fundamentals and Adobe Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, AfterEffects/animation experience a plus).
What You'll Do
- Contribute to our critical mission of ending suicide among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning young people, while fostering an inclusive approach to your direct work and engagement with Trevor colleagues across the organization
- Continually grow your LGBTQ competency and awareness
- Collaborate with the Creative Director, copywriters, and other stakeholders across the organization on a wide range of materials that may include online display ads, YouTube videos, TV commercials, flyers, billboards, branded collateral, direct mail, email, social posts, internal slide decks, signage, or other marketing materials
- Determine project requirements, prepare project rough drafts and present ideas for feedback
- Develop concepts and design original content determining ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout
- Test graphics across various media platforms
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing, on-brand, and meet deadlines
- Translate Trevor’s strategic direction into high-quality designs in support of its growing and evolving brand and visual identity
- Manage the design and upload process of all project materials, incorporating best practices for using a content management system
- Other relevant tasks, duties, or special projects as assigned
