Strategic Planning Analyst

The role

The team supports the CFO across financial planning, pricing, corporate finance, investor relations, and strategic projects. Reporting to the Head of Strategic & Commercial Finance, you’ll be the Strategic Finance Business Partner for our new Bank Account Data and Payment Providers groups. You will play an integral part in setting these groups up for future success. In addition, you will be expected to contribute significantly to the longer-term financial planning model for the wider business, and lead/contribute to ROI analysis, investment appraisals and other strategic insights.

As well as working on transformative projects for the company, you will be expected to continuously collaborate with colleagues across the wider business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Being the primary point of contact and Strategic Finance Business Partner to the newest part of GoCardless’ business - the Bank Account Data and Payment Provider groups
  • Building and maintaining financial models - including Budgeting and the Long Term Financial Plan
  • Analysing complex data, drawing strategic insights from it and presenting to a range of stakeholders
  • Leading a variety of ad-hoc strategic projects
  • Crafting the story around numbers for succinct presentation
  • Preparation of analysis for board-level discussion

What excites us  

  • Demonstrable experience working in Financial Planning or related disciplines
  • SaaS, Tech and FinTech experience/knowledge would also add value
  • Accounting/Finance qualifications would be advantageous, but not essential
  • Strong quantitative skills - including experience building financial models and ability to understand how outputs are shaped by business drivers
  • Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and collaborative approach to working
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - including the ability to present quantitative findings in a clear, concise fashion

Salary range: €2000 - €3200
