General Duties

●          Inspire the creative team and operationally manage their workload, creative process and on-time delivery.

●          Supervise and oversee their ideas and projects while also “rolling-up-your-sleeves” and contributing to design work from conception to execution.

●          Ensure optimal delivery and maximum efficiency within the team.

●          Establish creative direction for the entire line of design outputs and communicate with the VP of Marketing Services, Global Head of Marketing with also the administrative operational management of the design studio team, sign off approvals, and consistant documentation and communication.

●          Generate multiple mockups and concepts for a campaign or project and work with stakeholders to align the final concept to the overall business and brand direction, ensuring where relevant local market nuisances are considered and represented.

●          Manage delivery to deadline and sign off on all deliverables before they are presented, always ensuring that they are on brand and uncompromising on quality.

●          Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization and that advance our brand strategy

●          Ensure best practice design methodologies are employed provided these align with the creative direction of the brand.

●          Lead creative sessions for project kick-offs

●          Manage multiple projects from concept through completion.

●          As part of the leadership team, always ensure that deliverables are aligned and optimal cohesion between multiple contributors, within the greater team, is a priority.

 

Knowledge and Experience

•          Undergraduate degree in Fine Arts or related field or equivalent visual design and management experience required;

•          At least 10 years of management experience working with large-scale web sites, e-marketing, and advertising

•          Must possess a thorough understanding of interactive communications and delivery systems, processes, and user interface design as well as industry best practices

•          Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography & limitations of the web.

•          Have the ability to storyboard or translate ideas to designers and develop innovative motion graphics solutions.

•          A strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development, interactive commerce and creative process

•          Print and web design capabilities: must know how to work in both media for integrated campaigns

•          Ability to lead projects from concept to completion. Apply best practices in user interface and interactive design, including image optimization and site mapping

•          Experience with software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, Figma and Sketch

•          Experience with Adobe AfterEffects beneficial

•          Knowledge of HTML, DHTML CSS, ActionScript

Job purpose

Reporting to the VP of Marketing Services, the Head of Design will form part of a senior team within a central marketing unit and will look after global design outputs for StoneX, Forex and CityIndex. The Head of Design will take creative responsibility for several workstreams, ranging from print, digital, TV, outdoor, sponsorships and more. Apart from ensuring exceptional creative outputs from the design team, this role will also have the responsibility of being the custodian of the brand, ensuring consistent aligned and strategic execution for every campaign, ad, landing page and website. Their team will work alongside CX, UX, CRO, WebOps, Content, SEO and Product Marketing teams as part of a newly created Inhouse Agency servicing these global brands.
