ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a highly motivated, full-time Analytic and Visualization Engineer. The ideal candidate would be reliable, personable, and team-oriented. This position will work with stakeholders to develop and build reports/dashboards with supporting data models and measures leveraging a variety of tools to facilitate data insight conversations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Partner with business/domain experts to understand the questions they have on their data
  • Leverage modern Power BI to extract and manipulate data from a variety of diverse sources
  • Perform analysis on datasets to understand data structure and possible metrics/visuals to answer business questions
  • Present alternative ways for clients to visualize and consume their data
  • Work as part of a larger visual analytics team partaking in collaboration and assisting others when needed
  • Research advanced analytic/visualization capabilities to improve client understanding of data insights
  • Flexible with maintaining existing dashboards and building new views/dashboard’s based on business needs
  • Strong SQL foundational knowledge
  • Tech stack is currently PBI
  • Currently dashboards exist in both SSRS and PBI, and would like to consolidate into a singular platform
  • 8+ years of experience in BI roles
  • 5+ years of experience using Power BI
  • Excellent cross-group collaboration skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multi-task, deal effectively with ambiguity, change in business requirements, and self-prioritize under pressure
  • The ability to understand business questions/pain points and alleviate with supporting data
  • Strong TSQL, DAX, SSAS Tabular development/deployment experience
  • Strong understanding of visual communication best practices, and application to design choices
  • Strong understanding of user experience design best practices with a human-centered approach
  • Good understanding of dimensional modeling and relational databases
  • Some creative/design skills are a plus
  • Genuine interest in visual analytics and openness to learning new tools in an everchanging space

We are committed to equitable and fair pay practices. For this role, the base salary pay range is $115,000 - $125,000. We consider a variety of factors when making compensation decisions and generally do not hire employees at the highest point of the pay range. We share this to ensure transparency, expectation-setting and education for candidates considering opportunities with us.
