The SQA Engineer evaluates and tests software to ensure it meets the specifications and standards established by Caption Health.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the analysis, design and execution of test cases, test procedures, and test suites.
- Author test plans and reports - develop a schedule and allocate test resources for verification efforts.
- Implement necessary integration, regression, and verification tests in compliance with regulatory and product needs.
- Work closely with the Regulatory and Quality teams to integrate software quality activities with regulatory plans, documentation, and quality systems.
- Collaborate with product management and the development team to effectively resolve issues discovered through testing.
- Collaborate with other software engineers to maintain an in-depth understanding of the software architecture.
- Provide the team with timely and accurate QA status and progress during all project testing phases.
- Ensure proper usage of test management software (Jira/XRay) and requirements traceability (matrix requirements management).
- Find, track, produce detailed documentation of bugs and issues found during testing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science (or equivalent).
- 2+ years of experience of experience with medical device industry (FDA and ISO) or in another regulated environment.
- Experience with DICOM, connectivity, and PACS is a strong plus.Experience writing test scenarios in Gherkin and using Cucumber to bind them to test automation frameworks.
- Experience with Python and/or C++ a strong plus.
- Experience using container technology (Docker, Kubernetes, coreOS, etc.).
- Experience with JIRA management and administration of bug-tracking, requirements, and test management software.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 or similar software.
