Our bespoke sports travel service has been designed and created to meet the specific requirements of sporting organisations, from scouts & individual player movements, through to commercial departments, directors and CEOs travel, both domestically & overseas.
We are proud to be the Official Travel Partner/Supplier to several professional Sports Clubs, providing a range of services including the day-to-day travel of teams at all levels within the organisation (First Team, Youth, Women’s etc), plus Club Management, Directors and Sponsors.
This is a really exciting team of growth across the business, and as a Sports Travel Consultant you will arrange and support domestic and international travel for individual and group bookings. Primarily focused on air/flight bookings, the role will also require hotel and ground transportation bookings. The role will require ticketing, changes, exchanges, and queue management for multiple clients. You will be providing solutions to travel-related problems clients may have experienced during after-hours or emergency situations regarding arrangements. This position requires flexible hours and shift availability as determined by business need and client call volume. Excellent customer service is required at all times.
No two days are the same in our Sports team, but on a typical day you will
- Process all group reservations, amendments and cancellations as requested by the client in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with the company standards and those laid out in the entire ISO procedures manuals.
- Take ownership of complex customer enquiries received in writing and/or over the telephone.
- Offer a variety of flight options, explaining fare rules when Booking flights.
- Convert general enquiries into actual bookings utilising all the tools and technology available.
- Monitor queues and ensure all communication both written and verbal is professional, accurate and conducted in a timely manner.
- Offer advice regarding destinations, routings, best/most cost-effective carriers etc.
- Take ownership and responsibility for all client queries handled until completed successfully.
- Support any commercial agreements which are in place.
- Ensure the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
- Log and deal with customer complaints and reduce future issues, escalating where necessary.
- Accurately process data and issue invoices to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
- Maintain and Develop relationships with key clients.
- Utilise account management skills to retain and grow business.
- Ensure that full support is given to key preferred suppliers.
- Achieve own sales target and lead by example at all times.
- Keep client aware of all necessary travel documents and health requirements for countries to be visited.
- Stay up to date and informed on all airline rules and regulations, tariffs, fare requirements and accurately apply this knowledge to all travel arrangements.
- Foresee and quickly manage travel-related problems clients may have experienced during after-hours or emergency situations regarding arrangements.
