Emeritus is seeking a Solutions Design Manager to join our Enterprise (B2B) team. Reporting to our Director of Solutions Design, this individual will work with the sales team across the USA, CAN, and EU from opportunity qualification through the close of sale, advising on high-level solution architecture, advising on educational best practices, and bringing in additional SME solutions architects where appropriate to scope and design learning pathways for a variety of different personas within our clients’ organizations. This individual does not need to have specific subject-matter expertise, but should be a generalist who can listen to client needs and consultatively advise on overall program design that will help our clients reach their learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with sales and the client from the point of an identified opportunity to fully qualify the opportunity and understand the client need
  • Perform high-level scoping of personas in the client organization who will participate in training programs, including current skills and workflows; and how these personas will change after training
  • Perform discovery about how training impacts the client organization and the larger strategic business initiatives that will be driven through our educational programs. 
  • Map client requirements to existing curriculum and products, where appropriate
  • For projects that require deeper expertise, arrange for Subject Matter Expert Solutions Architects to join scoping discussions. Work collaboratively with with Solutions Architects (and external Subject Matter Experts where needed) to create overall program design
  • Work with sales team on building proposals, with a specific focus on the solutions aspects of proposals
  • Partner with the sales and business operations teams on contracting requirements needed to successfully deliver on the designed solutions
  • Work with Director of Solutions Design to build standardized collateral that will help accelerate the solutions piece within the sales cycle
  • Work with delivery team and sales team on continuously adding value to existing clients through value-adding account management activities and building lasting relationships
  • Drive revenue for the enterprise team by helping our sales team close more deals

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as an instructional designer, consultative salesperson, or helping organizations build customized learning programs that aim to transform their workforces aligned to specific business initiatives
  • Able to synthesize customers’ needs and respond with practical solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Compensation and Benefits

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.  The compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 - $120,000 annually.  Pay will be determined on several factors including but not limited to location, skills, experience and may vary from the range listed above.  Additional compensation includes industry leading benefits Emeritus provides such as a comprehensive benefits package, 401K savings plan, company holidays, unlimited PTO, parental leave, and education benefits, just to name a few
