We are hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer
As Unacast grows within the location data industry, we are expanding our product portfolio. Therefore, we are looking for an enthusiastic Software Engineer to join our Insights team and be a part of transforming our datasets into visual products that provide valuable, accessible and trustworthy location insights.
The Insights team is multidisciplinary, with product, design, engineering and data science operating together on full-cycle product development. While continuously collaborating with various teams within the company, we have the freedom of innovation and experimentation to craft our next SaaS solutions. From discovering business needs, designing, developing, testing to launching, monitoring user behavior and maintaining, we own the products.
Our main office is in the heart of Oslo, where we meet every week with our international colleagues, both for work and for socializing. Being part of Unacast means being part of a friendly workplace, with care for each other and opportunities to grow within the company.
What you will be doing
Full-cycle product development - from discovery to market release and beyond - by creating efficient and reliable code.
Planning and designing the architecture of our new systems together with your team.
Implementation of intuitive interfaces using modern design practices and visualization libraries.
Work with our APIs and data, and make it efficient for the front end to create visualizations.
Who we think you are
- You have at least 2 years of experience in development of production-ready front end applications.
- You master - or are willing to learn - the recent JavaScript ecosystem including libraries to build User Interfaces.
- You have excellent communication skills and are proficient in English.
- You are a positive force. Adaptable and full of curiosity, you enjoy a high degree of collaboration and playing in a team.
- You love tackling challenges and are passionate about products: transforming ambiguous needs into concrete and impactful solutions
.... and it is positive if:
- You are comfortable with API development.
- You are familiar with GCP.
- You have experience with databases and data manipulation.
- You have experience with some front end visualization libraries.
