The compensation range for this role is: $150,000 - $220,000

What you'll be doing:

  • Help develop and maintain the backend that powers our ABX cloud, primarily with Scala microservices 
  • Work on a cross-functional team (Product Managers, UX, and FE & BE engineers) to design, develop, test, and release rich and robust new functionality based around sophisticated ML-driven analytics and complex orchestration flows to drive sales and marketing automation
  • Work with Cloud Ops and QA to jointly own industry standard build, test, deploy pipelines, driving for best in class release processes 

What we're looking for:

  • 3 years exp or Master’s Degree (CS, EE or related) plus a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience as a backend engineer on large-scale cloud-based microservice applications
  • Minimum of 1 year building microservices in Scala
  • Solid understanding of building APIs atop RDBMS
  • Experience working with more senior engineers to break down technical design documents into actionable project plans and then executing on those plans 
  • Dedication towards ownership of features and systems all the way to production 
  • Passion for working closely with FE/full stack engineers as well as UX and Product
  • Has a product-oriented mind and strong desire to solve problems for customers

Nice to have skills:

  • Has worked on large B2B and SaaS applications with tenant-based architectures
  • Strong Kubernetes and/or Istio experience 
  • Experience with implementing and owning CI/CD pipelines (esp in Gitlab) 
  • Experience with Postgres, ZIO, Clickhouse, Iceberg, Spark
