Software Engineer (Classic ASP)

Role Purpose

Reporting into the Tech Lead, the role holder will play a part in supporting Civica’s key internal business systems.

The role holder will also be required to support the data import for newly acquired Business Units with their transition onto Civica group systems.

Principal Accountabilities

The role is accountable for:

• Developing solutions, working in one or more concurrent projects using technique/design as agreed at project start.
• To utilise the agreed coding standards or style and naming conventions of existing code to produce robust, maintainable solutions.
• To develop or maintain software which is secure, efficient, and performant to high quality standards within pre-agreed timeframes.
• To unit test the solution produced before sending to the test team.
• To ensure the solution produced is stored in the source code repository.
• Conduct investigations into issues/bugs for support.
• Providing application support function for the Software Application Centre’s Financial systems.
• Ensuring all imported or manually updated data that is entered into any systems is accurate and correct.

Essential Competencies

• Good standard of English - written and verbal communication.
• Experience of data management - inputing/exporting data from systems.

.Net Framework 4.7 (VB.Net)
