We're looking for a new Social Media Specialist to drive vibrancy, connection and scale across Trade Me's core brand channels - currently Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn.
Identifying and leveraging social media trends and human insights will be second nature to the next great human to join us in this role, as will social video creation and a way with words. You won't be shy to feature in content, as well as being genius at corralling others from across the team and business.
In this role you'll have the chance to lead the delivery of social-first campaigns, applying your knowledge (or developing it!) in partnership with our awesome media and content agencies.

Here's what you can expect from this role:
* Write and brief in/schedule Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn posts.
* Daily community engagement on our content posts and brand tags (inboxes are managed by a dedicated CX community manager).
* Creation of entertaining and relatable video content
* Briefing our in-house design team, along with external media and creative agencies
* Social media idea generation and advice for marketing team campaigns to elevate performance and engagement
* Analytics and reporting
* Update and enhance our use of social software tools (currently Sprout Social)
* Deliver community management training for new CX and marketing team members
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure we're aligned and making the most of every opportunity on social media (including when not to!)
What you will bring to our team:
Experience
* Two or more years' experience in a similar social media or marketing role
* Tertiary qualification involving marketing or communications
* A good grasp on the social media and ecommerce environment
Competencies
* Initiative - able to identify opportunities, risks and issues and jump on them
* Creative thinker and confident content generator, including in app video creation
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent writing and copy skills
* Flexibility and adaptability (because you'll know social media platforms change All. The. Time.)
