The role

As our Social Media Manager, you'll lead the charge in building ConvertKit's brand and community presence on social media, aligning content with our mission, vision, and values. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a comprehensive social media strategy, leveraging insights and analytics to drive performance.

With a passion for serving creators and a deep understanding of social media trends and best practices, you'll engage with the creator community, build relationships, and represent ConvertKit as the "face of the brand" on social media. Your exceptional communication skills, data-driven approach, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment will make you a valuable asset to the team as we work towards helping creators earn $1 billion using our platform.

Responsibilities

Social Media Management

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of ConvertKit's branded social media channels (e.g. Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
  • Drive traffic and increase new accounts and monthly recurring revenue from organic social media
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase reach and awareness, drive engagement, and build the ConvertKit brand

Brand Representation & Community Engagement

  • Serve as the "face of ConvertKit" on social media, representing the brand and building relationships with other creators
  • Collaborate with the Growth Team to develop the brand strategy for social media
  • Engage with the ConvertKit community in collaboration with the Support Team, answering questions, responding to feedback, and creating a supportive, inclusive atmosphere
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Sales teams to develop an outbound strategy for potential ConvertKit influencers, affiliates, and customers

Content Creation

  • Lead the creation and execution of high-quality, engaging social media content that aligns with ConvertKit's brand, mission, and values
  • Continuously brainstorm and implement new content ideas, such as educational resources and fun, lighthearted content
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to ensure seamless content creation and distribution across social channels and Brand Studio team to create social media one-off and campaign assets that align with our brand guidelines and attract creator’s attention

Insights and Analytics

  • Continuously monitor and analyze social media performance using social listening and analytics tools
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends and best practices to continually improve ConvertKit's social media performance
  • Gather and analyze data from social media channels to understand audience engagement, brand perception, and other key metrics
  • Use insights to inform and adjust social media strategies, making data-driven decisions to drive growth and increase the impact of ConvertKit's social media presence
  • Act as the go-to person for social media performance, being the first to know what is happening or shifting in various Creator communities

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in social media management, driving brand awareness, traffic and revenue growth
  • Strong content creation skills, aligned with ConvertKit's brand, mission, and values
  • Ability to monitor and analyze social media performance using tools and data-driven approach to strategy
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to represent ConvertKit as the face of the brand on social media and engage with the community
  • Collaborative approach, working with cross-functional teams including Marketing and Product, and Support to create a comprehensive brand strategy
  • In-depth understanding of social media trends and best practices, with the ability to stay up-to-date and continuously improve ConvertKit's social media presence
  • A data-driven approach to decision making, using insights and analytics to drive growth and impact of ConvertKit's social media presence
  • Bonus: experience in marketing SaaS and/or payment processing tools, and experience working with online creators
  • Bonus: Ability to bring the mindset of a creator (who ConvertKit serves) into your decision-making process
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous, and remote environment, with a focus on producing measurable results
  • An operator mindset - understands the most important metrics and how to produce measurable results
  • Comfortable working in a 100% remote environment
  • Attend twice-annual in-person team retreats

Benefits


ConvertKit has standardized salaries based on position, no matter where you live. For this role, we’re hiring at level 3 ($105,000). Final offer is determined by multiple factors including overall experience, experience with the creator economy, and interview process.
