The Team

Venn’s Marketing Team is a focused, high-impact organization, primarily devoted to the company’s corporate and sales initiatives. We work closely with internal executives and external partners to deliver best-in-class communications and branding that establish Venn as a leader in the resident experience space and drive awareness of and engagement with our platform. Given the size of our team, we work collaboratively and creatively, each of us taking on a variety of roles and responsibilities. 

The Position

As Venn’s first full-time social media coordinator, you will be a key member of our New York City-based marketing team and will be responsible for creating and coordinating content across Venn’s corporate and executive social media channels, with a heavy focus on LinkedIn. The content you create and share will play a crucial role in a cross-channel strategy that aims to communicate Venn’s value proposition to our b2b audience, solidify our brand positioning, and build industry awareness of our platform. As you get up to speed, you will come to own Venn’s voice on social and further elevate and strengthen it over time. 

To do this, you will work closely with Venn’s brand and corporate marketing team, helping to define a cross-channel content strategy, its goals, tactics, and creative, and individually take ownership of the research, production, publication and analysis of all shared content. This will entail substantial collaboration, sourcing insights from our research team, local teams, and customer success teams, as well as independent industry research and story ideation. While leadership and partners will fully support you, you will be empowered to take the lead on these initiatives. 

To excel in this role, you will need: exceptional storytelling skills and the ability to craft compelling narratives using data and product insights; a desire and aptitude for building multi-channel comms strategies; and both flexibility and focus to work across distributed teams and juggle multiple priorities and responsibilities. 

 Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with Venn’s marketing team to support in the definition goals, strategies and tactics
  • Executing and iterating on defined strategies and tactics based on channel best practices and performance results
  • Building and managing social media content calendar for corporate and exec channels
  • Researching, sourcing, and crafting content for corporate and exec channels
  • Working closely with the editorial team to translate content from Venn’s quarterly online journal and semi-annual research reports into compelling social stories
  • Working closely with the exec team to strengthen their social media presence and position them as thought leaders in the proptech/resident experience space
  • Identifying and/or designing visual assets to accompany social content 
  • Formatting, scheduling and publishing all content for corporate channels
  • Tracking and sharing insights and performance results with internal stakeholders on biweekly basis
  • Managing growth campaigns, as needed
  • Managing social community, as needed
  • Additional marketing team support, including content creation for editorial, email, and PR, as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years social media coordination experience
  • Knowledge of all the latest social media best practices
  • Channel-specific mastery of LinkedIn
  • Preference for candidates with experience within real estate industry or b2b Saas platforms i.e. prior work experience at a proptech platform, commercial/residential brokerage, or owner-operator/property management company
  • Willingness to get in the weeds while not losing sight of priorities 
  • Proactive, flexible team player
  • Able to identify and craft data and product-driven stories 
  • Attention to detail and strong copywriting skills
  • Strong communications skills - both verbally and written
  • Love of real estate, cities, communities, neighborhoods, tech and data!

This position has an estimated annual salary range of $60,000 to $80,000, plus benefits and opportunities for equity. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and some role-dependent factors such as certifications and software expertise.
