Description:
project44 is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our engineering team. You will work
in a fast-paced Agile environment developing and implementing services that improve
engineering and support teams.
Responsible for availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management,
monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning
Collaborate closely with product developers to ensure that the designed solution responds
to non-functional requirements such as availability, performance, security, and
maintainability
Drive high reliability into systems by working closely with software development, DevOps and QE teams
Build proprietary tools from scratch to mitigate weaknesses in incident management and
software delivery
Implement strategies that increase system reliability and performance through on-call
rotation and process optimization
Implement automation for improved collaborative response in real-time, besides updating
documentation, runbook tools, and modules to ready teams for incidents
Ensure that DevOps and software developers are reviewing incidents and documenting
the findings to enable informed decision-making
Participation in 24x7 on-call rotations
Ensure that error budgets are maintained and SLOs are met
5+ years of experience in development/production support
Programming experience in Python or Java
Familiarity with any linux os (Redhat, Fedora, etc.) and troubleshooting tools and techniques
GCP cloud infrastructure working experience preferred, but AWS/Azure experience is also welcome
Container orchestration system (Kubernetes, helm) experience
CI/CD tooling and techniques (Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.) experience
Familiarity with Infrastructure as code (Terraform)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex
technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
Self-motivated, independent, and high-performance individual, with ability to learn new
technologies and become productive extremely fast
Willingness to work in different shift timings
Programming experience in Go, Rust, etc.
Familiarity with performance testing
Strong working experience in New Relic, Signal FX, Data Dog, Cloud Watch, or other similar tools
Experience in creating/supporting Restful APIs
Working knowledge of unified log management systems like log entries, log stash, sumo
logic & grey log
Experience leading a small team
