Server Developer - WoT Blitz

MS-1 is Wargaming's leading mobile development studio behind World of Tanks Blitz, a well-known cross-platform shooter, and World of Warships Blitz, a mobile naval combat game with over 160 million downloads in its portfolio. MS-1 is a geographically distributed studio with main offices in Vilnius, Nicosia, Belgrade, Shanghai and Berlin. Its international multinational team consists of more than 250 professionals from various disciplines with experience in all disciplines, including development, publishing and production.

Now the World of Tanks Blitz mobile project team is looking for a specialist for the position of Server Developer. The development team is actively evolveing the project, developing new features and improving existing ones. In order to ensure that everything conceived comes out on time and in the right quality, we are constantly looking for talented professionals who know their stuff and want to actively grow.

What will you do?

• Maintain and improve the existing functionality of the World of Tanks Blitz game server.
• Integrate the World of Tanks Blitz game server with internal services of Wargaming and with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS).
• Develop new gameplay and core features.

What are we looking for?

• 2-3+ year of experience in commercial C++/Python development
• Excellent knowledge of classical algorithms, data structures and design patterns.
• Knowledge of server technologies, network protocols and databases.
• Ready to work most of the time with Python.
• Systems thinking and a high degree of self-organization.

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Experience in server development in multiplayer games and real-time modes.
• Participation in projects for the development of high-load client-server applications for the full development cycle.
• Introduction to mobile development.
• Experience in the gaming industry and a desire to make games.
