Senior Tax Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Senior Tax Specialist to join our growing finance team based in Amman, Jordan.  The Senior Tax Specialist will assist the Tax Manager with the preparation and filing of all tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations, and providing support with tax-related matters.

What you’ll do

  • Assist with the preparation and filing of  tax returns, including income tax, value-added tax (VAT), and withholding tax returns.
  • Support the Tax Manager with the management of tax audits and disputes with the tax authorities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation of all tax-related activities.
  • Provide administrative and tax accounting support to the Tax Manager and finance team for Jordan, Iraq, KSA, Morocco and other markets, as needed.
  • Continuously improve and update knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
  • Record keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all tax-related transactions and ensuring that all necessary documentation is properly filed.
  • Tax payments: Ensuring that all tax payments are made on time, accurately, and in accordance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaboration with other departments: Working with other departments, such as finance, legal, and operations, to gather information and resolve tax-related issues.

 

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in tax compliance or tax advisory
  • Good understanding of the tax laws and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • KSA tax laws and regulations knowledge is a plus
